Someone told me that I should update this blog the other day, and at the time I said no because I didn't want to, but now I feel like talking about myself.
When I was working on my second ever album, I found I kept trying to write rock songs that would translate really well to guitars and things, but the songs I was making were all in FL studio, so they were kind of just unnecessarily bad-sounding. I'd spend ages looking for the perfect guitar soundfont, but there's obviously no such thing because a guitar can do a lot more than just play notes. At some point I got tired of the whole thing and decided my next album would be shitty garage rock with real instruments. And it really is shitty, because I didn't practice half of the parts before recording them. I think the songs themselves might be okay but they're brought down by bad performances and horrible vocals for some of them. Also, did I mention that the 'guitar' on that album is actually just bass with distortion?
*note to self: please revisit steam locomotive i dont know how its possible but the first half of that song is actually pretty good

update: theres also two title case versions and one called duty cycle 2, all of which sound slightly different
